According to this information, the Cupertino giant is currently working with its suppliers of NAND flash chips to develop so-called QLC (quad-level cell) of NAND flash storage. Although DigiTimes did not make a single mention of increasing the storage, it makes sense in the end. QLC NAND technology adds an extra layer that allows companies to increase storage capacity at a significantly lower cost.
