We are about two months away from the introduction of the new line of Apple iPhone 13 phones. It is precisely for this reason that more and more leaks and speculations are spreading among Apple users, which focus on possible news and changes that the new phones will offer. To make matters worse, it started spreading in China today new speculation. According to her, the iPhone 13 will offer faster 25W charging.

Last year's iPhone 12 generation can handle a maximum of 20W charging through original adapter. Of course, a more powerful adapter can also be used for so-called fast charging (for example from a MacBook Air/Pro), but even in that case the iPhone is limited to the mentioned 20 W. This could change very soon anyway. At the same time, however, we must draw attention to one fact. An increase of just 5W is not a miraculous change that will noticeably change the enjoyment of everyday phone charging. In addition, a number of competing models with the Android operating system have been able to exceed this value for a long time. For example, the current flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S21, even supports 25W charging.

In the case of the iPhone 13, 25W charging should come for a simple reason. Specifically, there should be an expansion of the battery and, in the case of the Pro models, the arrival of a better LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which of course represents a greater demand on the battery itself. In that case, a 5W increase would make less sense to maintain the same time for the necessary device recharge.

This year's series should continue to boast a smaller cutout and better cameras. Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in any case, it has long been criticized for charging phones slowly, in which the competition is simply miles away. Of course, it is still unclear whether the speculation will be confirmed. No respected source or leaker mentioned faster charging. However, the new generation of Apple phones should be revealed already during September, and the third week of September is most often talked about. Thanks to this, we could know relatively soon how things will actually be with the news.
