The new iPhone 11 has only been on sale for less than a week, but analyst companies are already looking ahead and starting to focus on the upcoming models that Apple will introduce next year, which will bring major changes. One of the most accurate sources regarding upcoming Apple products is renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He came today with information that the upcoming iPhones (12) will boast a new design that will be based on the iPhone 4.

In particular, the chassis of the phone will undergo a significant change. Apparently, Apple should move away from rounded shapes and return to sharp edges, at least as far as the sides of the phone are concerned. However, Kuo claims that the display, or rather the glass sitting on it, will continue to be slightly curved. As a result, it will probably be a modern interpretation of the iPhone 4, which was characterized by a so-called sandwich design - a flat display, internal components, a flat back glass and steel frames with sharp edges on the sides.

The upcoming iPhone could in some way resemble the current iPad Pro, which also has frames with sharp edges. But the difference will also be in the material used, where iPhones should probably keep stainless steel, while the chassis of iPads is made of aluminum.

But the different design will not be the only innovation that the upcoming generation of iPhones will boast. Apple should also completely switch to OLED displays and thus completely move away from LCD technology in their phones. The display sizes should also change, specifically to 5,4 inches, 6,7 inches and 6,1 inches. It also features 5G network support, a smaller notch, and an improved rear camera with 3D imaging capabilities for new augmented reality capabilities and new features.
