One of the new features of this year's iPhones is the camera's night mode. Considering that a similar mode is also offered by a number of competing smartphones, more than one technology server started the relevant comparison. In September of this year, for example, the iPhone 11's camera and its ability to take pictures in the dark took a server for granted PC World, which compared it to Google's Pixel 3 in the test. At the time, he was the uncrowned king of night photography with his Night Sight function. But the test results surprised even the editors themselves - the iPhone 11 did not perform badly in them at all.

Recently, the editors of the server embarked on a comparative test of the camera of the iPhone 11 and a competing device MacWorld. But the Pixel 3 was replaced by the newer Pixel 4 in this case, and the editors said they expected Google to make improvements to the camera features of this model. Even in this comparative test, however, the iPhone 11 performed well beyond expectations.

The editors of the MacWorld server point out that a few more tests are needed to give a definitive verdict on the Pixel 4, but at the same time it is already clear that the iPhone 11 comes out noticeably better in comparison. According to MacWorld, it managed to lighten the right places in the images, naturally preserve the shadows and overall capture the scene better than the Pixel 4.

But the result is not completely in all points in favor of the iPhone 11. While the "eleven" stood up better when taking pictures in the night streets, the shot of the Halloween pumpkin was clearly better for the Pixel 4, whose camera, unlike the iPhone 11, perfectly captured the rolling artificial fog.

At the end of the test, the editors rightly point out that it always depends on what purposes the user will use the smartphone's camera for - if he wants to take portraits or selfies for social networks in particular, he may not care that the smartphone can't handle night shots of buildings.
