Jan Zdarsa According to a survey by STEM/MARK, a total of 6% of the population of the Czech Republic is considering buying an iPad. A surprisingly high number, but the iPad simply arouses enthusiasm wherever it appears.
The STEM/MARK company's research focused on electronic book readers and the iPad multi-functional device, where reading books is one of the main declared functions. Research has shown that 41% of the population know, which is an electronic book reader. It is surprising that for the new iPad device, which is officially sold only in the USA so far, the majority of the Czech population (53%) said that they had already heard about the device.
When asked whether people own an electronic book reader, 1% of respondents responded positively. On the contrary, 6% of respondents stated that in are considering purchasing an iPad in the future. The research also showed that both men and women have a similar interest in the iPad, regardless of age. The survey was created with the help of quota and random selection of respondents according to gender, education, age and region, the resulting set represents the general population aged 15 to 59 years.
There is really enormous interest in the iPad, which is why the start of international sales of the iPad has also been postponed. However, even these days, the iPad is often in short supply in the US. After the release of the iPad the enthusiasm of the people did not fade, on the other hand, demand for the iPad in the US is growing. In a poll by ChangeWave, 7% of the US population said they were likely to buy an iPad, and another 13% said they were seriously considering it.

I think a decent percentage for a relatively small country where Apple/Mac is more or less in its infancy.

And I believe that this number is possible. It is possible to reach 600.000 iPods in CR in two years, at least with a snowball effect. If they manage to make it.

Slightly better prices, like Alza and iPad, there will be a shortage of goods here too :-) I will buy it too.
And otherwise nice numbers, Apple is simply a matter of the heart.

I have an iPad and I'm not at all surprised by these statistics! It's a really cool thing! It's fast, it's beautiful, the battery lasts 10+ hours... It's just a place for me :-). I've heard a lot of people say that you don't have a use for it... trust me, just hold it in your hand for 5 minutes and you'll think of 100 things it would be good for

Pepan: the press release was sent to me from the STEM/MARK agency and I have yet to confirm whether the research questions were designed in such a way that this result was "targeted".. but it wasn't :)
I hope that the iPad will soon be able to speak Czech. Then a keyboard via BT, printer via WiFi, internet via iPhone and all this for at least 8 hours without charging. Yesterday is late.
Well, I think, in short and simply, that the iPad is good but expensive.
