The iPad Pro presented yesterday is also equipped with the new A12Z chipset, which Apple directly said is more powerful than most processors in Windows notebooks. Today we received the first AnTuTu benchmark, from which we can read roughly how much more powerful the chipset in the new iPad Pro is.

Before we get into the score itself, let's talk about a few technical things about the new chipset. The Apple A12X chipset in last year's iPad Pro has an octa-core processor and a seven-core GPU. This year's iPad Pro series uses the Apple A12Z chipset, which already suggests that there will not be many changes - the new product has an eight-core processor and an eight-core GPU. The RAM memory has also changed, when Apple added an extra two gigabytes of memory to the iPad Pro 2020. In total, it has 6GB of RAM memory.

The resulting score in AnTuTu is 712 points, the iPad Pro from last year has an average of about 218 points. There are basically no differences in the CPU, as you can see in the picture. The difference is mainly in RAM and GPU, where we can see a 705 percent increase. At first glance, it may not seem like a lot, but we have to take into account the fact that the performance of the iPad Pro 000 is already astounding and other chipsets based on the ARM architecture cannot compete with Apple.
