Apple has quietly updated its iPad lineup. Newly, the first-generation iPad mini introduced in 2012 can no longer be found in its online store. This means that all iPads that Apple now offers have a Retina display and at least A7 processors.

The two-and-a-half-year-old original iPad mini was already a seriously outdated piece of hardware in the current portfolio. As the only iPad, it did not have a Retina display and, above all, it was only equipped with an A5 chip. Apple left it in the menu only in the 16GB version and gradually reduced the price to 6, respectively 690 crowns for the version with a mobile connection.

You can now buy the iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad Air and iPad Air 2 from Apple. All these tablets have a Retina display, 64-bit architecture and A7 or A8X processors.
