However, the opposite is true as Apple introduced the new iPad and iPad mini. A few minutes ago, we looked at the presentation of the new iPad (2021) together in our magazine, now let's look together at the new iPad mini (2021).
The new iPad mini (2021) received a brand new design. The latter resembles the iPad Pro and even more so the iPad Air. This means that we will see a display across the entire front screen and a "sharp" design. It is available in a total of four colors namely Purple, Pink, Gold and Space Grey. We didn't get Face ID, but the classic Touch ID, which is, of course, located in the top power button, just like in the case of the iPad Air. At the same time, the new Touch ID is up to 40% faster. The display is also new - specifically, it is an 8.3" Liquid Retina display. It has support for Wide Color, True Tone and an anti-reflective layer, and the maximum brightness reaches 500 nits.

But we are definitely not done with the design - by that I mean that this is not the only big change. Apple is also replacing the outdated Lightning with a modern USB-C connector in the new iPad mini. Thanks to it, this new iPad mini can transfer all data up to 10 times faster, which will be appreciated by photographers and others, for example. And speaking of photographers, they can easily connect their cameras and cameras directly to the iPad, using USB-C. Doctors, for example, who will be able to connect, for example, an ultrasound, can benefit from this mentioned connector. As far as connectivity is concerned, the new iPad mini also supports 5G with the possibility of downloading at a speed of up to 3.5 Gb/s.

Of course, Apple didn't forget about the redesigned camera either - specifically, it focused primarily on the front one. It is newly ultra-wide-angle, has a field of view of up to 122 degrees and offers a resolution of 12 megapixels. From the iPad Pro, the "mini" then took over the Center Stage function, which can keep all the individuals in the frame in the middle. This feature is not only available in FaceTime but also in other communication apps. At the back, the iPad mini has also received improvements - there is also a 12 Mpx lens with support for recording in 4K. The aperture number is f/1.8 and it can also use Focus Pixels.

In addition to the improvements mentioned above, the iPad mini 6th generation also offers redesigned speakers. In the new iPad mini, the CPU is up to 40% faster, the GPU even up to 80% faster – specifically, the A15 Bionic chip. The battery should last all day, there is support for Wi-Fi 6 and Apple Pencil. In the package you will find a 20W charging adapter and, of course, this is the fastest iPad mini in history – well, not yet. The new iPad mini is constructed from 100% recyclable materials. The price starts at $499 for the version with Wi-Fi, as for the version with Wi-Fi and 5G, the price will be higher here.
