Relatively big changes await the iPad mini. At least that's what the various speculations and leaks that have been spreading at incredible speed in recent weeks suggest. In general, there are rumors about the deployment of a more powerful chip, but question marks still hang over the design of the product. In any case, a lot of people are leaning towards the side that this little one will see the same change of coat that the iPad Air came with last year. After all, this has been confirmed by Ross Young, an analyst focusing on displays.

According to him, the sixth generation iPad mini will come with a fundamental change, when it will offer a display almost across the entire screen. At the same time, the Home button will be removed and the side frames will be narrowed, thanks to which we will get an 8,3″ screen instead of the previous 7,9″. Respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already offered similar predictions, according to which the screen size will be between 8,5" and 9".

He was joined by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. He, in turn, confirmed the arrival of a larger screen and smaller frames. But it is still not certain how it will actually be with the mentioned Home button. However, the vast majority of leaks clearly indicate that Apple could bet on the same card that it showed off in the case of the aforementioned iPad Air 4th generation. In that case, Touch ID technology would move to the power button.

At the same time, there were various speculations about the new chip. Some are talking about the deployment of the A14 Bionic chip, which is found, for example, in the iPhone 12 series, while others are more inclined to use the A15 Bionic variant. It should be introduced for the first time in this year's iPhone 13. The iPad mini is still expected to switch to USB-C instead of Lightning, the arrival of the Smart Connector, and there have even been mentions of a mini-LED display. Ming-Chi Kuo came up with this a long time ago, who estimated the arrival of such a product in 2020, which of course did not happen in the end. Last week, a report from DigiTimes confirmed the arrival of mini-LED technology, anyway, there was news right away refuted by an analyst named Ross Young.
