Apple fans are increasingly talking about the arrival of the sixth generation iPad mini. It should probably be shown during this year, while it will offer a lot of interesting news. According to the latest report from the DigiTimes portal, even Apple is going to equip this little one with a mini-LED display, which will greatly increase the quality of the content display. Unlike a classic LCD, the screen would thus offer significantly higher brightness, better contrast and a better display of black.

Here's what an iPad mini could look like:

In the third quarter of this year, Radiant Optoelectronics should start supplying Apple with the necessary components that will be used for mini-LED displays for the upcoming MacBook Pro and iPad mini. The largest sales of these components are then estimated for the fourth quarter of 2021, the portal mentions, citing sources from the supply chain. In addition, this is not the first time we have heard about the arrival of an iPad mini with a mini-LED display. The respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted this earlier, but he was slightly mistaken. He originally mentioned that such a device would arrive in 2020, which did not happen in the final. However, this does not mean that, for example, displacement could not occur. The giant from Cupertino is gradually switching to this technology. This year's 12,9″ iPad Pro was the first to arrive, and the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros would soon follow.

According to various sources, the 6th generation iPad mini should continue to offer a significant change in design when it approaches the form of the iPad Air (2020). The Apple A15 chip, which will first be introduced in this year's iPhone 13, will take care of its flawless operation, and we could also expect a Smart Connector for convenient connection of accessories. There is still talk of the deployment of a USB-C connector, better speakers and support for the as-yet-unreleased, smaller Apple Pencil.
