Yes, that's right - today it is really possible to buy an iPad in several Czech stores. Of course, Apple did not decide to add the Czech Republic to the list of the first European countries where the iPad will be on sale in a few days, these are imported US versions, which I already mentioned informed, when Alza was offering them.
Although the iPad is sold out again in Alza, other Czech e-shops have started to offer it. The Mall is certainly one of the most prominent, which only has a few pieces of the 16GB WiFi version in its offer. The price is the same as at Alza.cz, which is a nice 17 CZK including VAT, but if you are among those who can't wait, you at least have the opportunity to buy an iPad from us, quite simply and with a two-year warranty.
However, it is possible to find iPads on the Internet at more favorable prices. The cheapest I found was the 16GB Wi-Fi version for CZK 13, which is a price you could already think about. But be careful in this case, because the store may not exist in a short time and you will find it difficult to enforce the two-year warranty.
The date of delivery of the iPad to the Czech Republic is still unknown, so it is possible that such sales will take place in our country for a long, long time.
Well, when I see which e-shops offer it for the 14 thousand, then thank you very much. Just read the experiences with individual stores and you will immediately feel the urge to experiment.
Individual import by post from the USA cost me 15 thousand CZK for the 32GB version, with all the fees that cannot be avoided... That was back in the days of the cheap dollar, today you have to pay another thousand or two for a higher exchange rate...
John: If it wouldn't be worth waiting for some European country that week and ordering it from there. ;)
I ordered an iPad for the company (with VAT deduction) on http://www.notebook.de (Germany) for EUR 499,00 including VAT (Wi-Fi 16 GB), after VAT including shipping EUR 445,00 (some 12 thousand without VAT). I don't have it yet, maybe after 28.5.2010/XNUMX/XNUMX.
2 Jarko: I see the cheapest one there for 528 EUR including VAT, where did you find the 499 EUR? The German Apple store has it for EUR 499, where I pre-ordered it...
Viktor: They probably increased the price in the meantime. I really have it for EUR 499,00 incl. VAT confirmed, even paid. Apparently someone killed them in between. I apologize for not verifying the information before posting.
The e-shop (http://www.notebook.de) looks cool, but I'm puzzled by the one-year warranty on the goods - shouldn't US imports be too?
