Many of us spend most of the day in front of computers - either for work or study. But sitting at the computer is not exactly the healthiest activity. That's why there's the Wakeout application, which prescribes active breaks for you during the day, thanks to which you can prevent back pain and other discomforts.

Appearance

When you launch Wakeout for the first time, you will first see a few animations to familiarize you with the basic functions. Next comes a sign-in—Wakeout supports Sign in with Apple—and a series of permissions to access notifications, Health, and more. On the main page of the application, a preview of the exercise break is always displayed, on the bar at the bottom of the display you will find buttons for a break, an overview of activities and day settings. The application partially works on the Pomodoro principle - you set the length of time you need to focus on work or study, and then specify the details of active breaks. Wakeout offers activities not only for the office environment, but also in the car or in nature.

Function

In the Wakeout application, you can program the number and frequency of your active breaks. There are several types of short, one-minute exercises on offer, which you can view both on your iPhone and Apple Watch. On iPhones with iOS 14, you can also launch activities directly from the widget. The full version of the application will cost you 139 crowns per month, but you can share it with a group of other users. Wakeout also supports App Clips, so you can send individual workouts to someone else to try via iMessage, email, or social media.
