As early as this fall, iPhone and Apple Watch owners will get a brand new sleep tracking feature. However, if its description did not appeal to you and you are looking for an application that will help you fall asleep, meditate or concentrate, you can try the simple Sleep by Max Richter, which we will present to you in today's article.

Appearance

The design of the Sleep application is simple, elegant and very good looking. After the first launch, the application will offer you the option of connecting to your Spotify or Apple Music account and the option of activating notifications. After this setup, you will be greeted by a screen where you can choose to either sleep, meditate, or start focusing. In the upper right corner of the display, there is an inconspicuous ring icon - after clicking on it, you will be able to adjust the appearance and functions of the application, including falling asleep or waking up to the sound of music. When you tap Sleep, Meditate or Focus, you'll see a customizable timer, which will start an animation with accompanying music.

Function

The Sleep by Max Richter app offers simple functions and ease of use. There is no need to click through to the individual functions - tap on the selected item to start falling asleep, meditation or the time you need to concentrate. All the time you will be accompanied on the screen by enticing shots of space, you can pause the playback at any time by clicking the pause button in the middle of the bottom of the screen, or leave the "session" by clicking the arrow in the lower left corner. The application is compatible with AirPlay, so you can start playback on your Apple TV by tapping the appropriate icon. In the settings, you can activate a gradual decrease in volume when you fall asleep or, conversely, increase the volume when you wake up, set the vocal accompaniment or adjust the animations of the planets. The application also includes a diary in which you get an overview of the length and number of "sessions" completed.

Finally

The Sleep by Max Richer app will especially please those who are not into voice-controlled meditation and prefer simplicity. Even fans of Richter's music should definitely try it out. The app is completely free, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, and no ads. If you like Max Richter's work, Sleep can become a pleasant and useful companion for falling asleep, meditation or everyday work.
