Every day, in this column, we will bring you a more detailed look at a selected application that has just caught our attention. Here you will find applications for productivity, creativity, utilities, but also games. It won't always be the hottest news, our goal is primarily to highlight apps that we think are worth paying attention to. Today we're introducing Maps.Me for offline maps and navigation.

Mobile maps are a great thing. But what to do when you're out in the field, but you've run out of mobile data, or you have a really bad signal? No need to panic. The Maps.Me application offers clear, useful, detailed maps, even for completely offline access. The maps in the menu include, for example, turn-by-turn navigation, an overview of points of interest, a display of hiking trails and interesting or important places.

Similar to other applications focused on travel and navigation, in Maps.Me you can view different types of maps and routes for pedestrians, trains, cars or bicycles. The application offers all the usual functions, such as route planning, GPS navigation or saving selected places. The application also includes the display of more detailed information about individual places or the possibility of booking accommodation via Booking.com.

You can use the application completely free of charge, the only condition is the display of not too intrusive advertisements. You pay 179 crowns per year for the ad-free version, if you want to download the guide to the application, you pay 25 crowns.
