In the App Store you will find an abundance of different applications - some are practically necessary for your functioning, others can make your work and personal life easier, and others you don't really need, but in short, they are remarkable or interesting in some way. This category also includes Hanx Writer - a slightly different document editor.

Appearance

As with other applications, Hanx Writer will first welcome you with a series of welcome screens – in this case offering new machines, fonts and papers in the virtual shop. The main screen of the application itself consists of an imitation of a typewriter keyboard (QWERTY), in its upper left corner you will find a button to go to the overview of pages, in the upper right corner there is a menu from which you can go to the overview of virtual typewriters, create a new document, share document, machine settings, going into reader mode or keyboard extensions.

Function

The basic functions of the Hanx Writer application are completely clear - creating documents in an environment that simulates writing on a classic typewriter, including characteristic sound effects. You can add any number of pages in a document. Depending on which virtual typewriter you choose, you also get the option to edit the text or choose the type of virtual paper. You can try all the machines in the offer for free, but it is not possible to create a document in them.

Finally

If you are content with the basic keyboard and simply want to enjoy the feeling of typing on a virtual typewriter (on a QWERTY keyboard without any other customization options), the basic free version of the application will suffice. Individual typewriters can be purchased for 79 crowns, or in a discounted collection for 249 crowns. An iOS keyboard that simulates typing on a classic typewriter will cost you 25 crowns once. We tried the Hanx Writer application more out of curiosity - it is an interesting "toy" in the free version, we probably wouldn't recommend investing in additional keyboards - there are no language customization options, and a look at the version history in the App Store clearly indicates that there will probably be further updates we won't wait.
