We have already covered applications from the Moleskine workshop on the Jablíčkář website several times. The company Moleskine is famous mainly for its stylish notebooks, diaries and other gadgets, but it also has a number of applications in a similar style. In today's article, we will take a closer look at the application called Flow.

Appearance

After launching the application, you will be greeted by a series of informative introductory screens with an overview of what the Flow application can do and what features it offers. Similar to most other applications from Moleskine, Flow also offers the option of activating a subscription, either in the form of packages of all applications of the Studio series (569 crowns per year), or a subscription for the application itself (59 crowns per month with a two-week free trial period, or 339 crowns per year with two-week free trial period). As for the main screen of the application as such, at the bottom you will find a menu of available tools for writing, drawing and other editing. In the upper part there is a color palette, an overview of brush sizes, at the very top you will find an arrow to return to the overview of projects, a button to add an image, a background and to export, buttons to cancel and redo the action and finally a link for the menu.

Function

Flow by Moleskine is a drawing app, so it's understandable that it works best on the iPad. Even on the iPhone, however, it delivers surprisingly good results, and working with it is comfortable and efficient. Flow offers a rich range of different pens, pencils, brushes, markers, highlighters and other tools and aids for writing and drawing, of course there is also an eraser and a cutter for removing the selected area. With each of the tools, you have a lot of options for choosing colors, thickness, intensity and other parameters, working with the eraser and the cutter is really great and easy. It is also great to be able to choose your own gestures to control the application and set sound effects.

Finally

Like other applications from the Moleskine workshop, nothing can be read in terms of appearance and functions of Flow. Functionally and design-wise, this app is really great, and in my opinion, it's worth investing in (of course, if this type of app is beneficial to you). The only disadvantage could be considered the absence of a completely free version - if you do not decide on any subscription option after the end of the two-week trial period, you simply cannot use Flow.
