In our App of the Day section, this time we will present you an application called Flashcards App by Remember, which is used for learning foreign languages (and not only) using the "card method", which is very popular among many people. What do we say about the application?

Appearance

Upon launch, Flashcards App by Remember will first prompt you to choose the language you want to learn and your native language. The application does not require registration, but you must agree to a three-day free trial period (after which the use of the application will cost you 169 crowns per month). The application has a simple, clear user interface in pleasant colors, in the beginning it guides you through individual functions and options. On the bar at the bottom of the screen, you'll find buttons to return to the home page, add a word, and go to flashcard sets. At the top of the home screen you will find buttons to go to statistics and settings.

Function

Don't be fooled by the name - Flashcards App by Remember are not just virtual flashcards, the content of which you would be forced to create yourself. Of course, this option is there, but in addition to the classic cards, you can also use the Memory Game method, practicing word formation, listening or speaking mode, writing, or the inverted memory game method. In addition to adding your own words, in Flashcards App by Remember you can also learn from pre-made sets of words with different themes (basics, homework, phrasal verbs, travel and more).

Finally

The creators of the application certainly cannot be denied the effort to create a functional, powerful and useful tool for learning foreign languages. Despite this, Flashcards App by Remember has its drawbacks. The three-day trial period is too short for the user to decide whether the application really suits him. Czech localization is more like machine translation, which can be an obstacle to learning foreign words correctly. The principle of the application is certainly nice, but the creators should still work on it.
