Note-taking and text-editing applications can take many forms. Some are rather simple and focused on basic functions, others are a bit richer in terms of visual and functional aspects. The Craft application is the golden mean in this regard, and it is precisely this that we will look at in today's article in a little more detail.

Appearance

After registration (Unfortunately, Craft does not yet support quick forms of registration, for example through Sign in with Apple) and a short interactive tutorial, you will be shown the main screen of the application itself. It consists of a bottom bar with buttons for going to folders, searching (with support for voice input) and creating a new document. There is a help and feedback button at the top right, and a button for managing your profile at the top left.

Function

The Craft application is used both for creating simple notes and for editing and creating more complex documents. Writing longer texts as such is slightly inconvenient directly on the iPhone display, but you can copy the text of a document written on a Mac and edit it effectively "on the fly" on your iPhone. In Craft you will find a lot of basic and more advanced tools for editing and creating text, in addition to simple notes, you can also create more complex content with a more sophisticated structure and interconnections. Of course, it is possible to export to various formats including PDF or Markdown, and to share across devices (Craft is a multi-platform application). You can add attachments of all possible types, codes, equations or scanned documents to documents. For faster and more efficient work, you can use the gesture control that Craft supports. The Craft application is free to download, for 119 crowns per month you also get unlimited access, search within documents, advanced export functions, high quality media file upload and other bonus functions.
