"Update to iOS 7 and your iPhone will be waterproof," the ad claims. According to her, "in an emergency, the smart switch in iPhone shuts down the power supply and related components to protect your iPhone's sensitive electrical circuitry."
Users who believed the ad reportedly updated their iPhones and submerged the phones in water to test the feature. But then they discovered that they had destroyed their expensive equipment.
Whoever came across this fake ad probably has a smarter phone than they do. Just use common sense sometimes.
