The native Notes app is very popular among Apple device users. And no wonder, as it is easy to use and offers some great features that are worth it. The good news is that Notes received quite a few new features as part of the recently introduced iOS 16 system. Of course, our magazine has been covering all the news since the introduction, and in this article we will specifically look at one improvement in Notes.

iOS 16: How to Create a Dynamic Notes Folder with Filters

If you want to keep all your notes clearly organized, it is important to use folders. Thanks to them, it is then possible to easily divide, for example, home notes from work notes, etc. In addition to ordinary folders with notes, however, it is also possible to create dynamic folders in the native Notes application. Within this folder, notes that match predefined filters will then be displayed. In iOS 16, an option has also been added, thanks to which you can choose whether the notes to be displayed in the dynamic folder must meet all specified filters, or any of them. The procedure is as follows:

  • First, you need to go to the app on your iPhone with iOS 16 Comment.
  • Once you do so, move to the main folder screen.
  • Here then in the lower left corner click on folder icon with +.
  • Then choose from the small menu, where to save the dynamic folder.
  • Then, on the next screen, tap on the option Convert to dynamic folder.
  • Subsequently you select filters and at the same time choose at the top if the reminders must be displayed meet all filters, or only some.
  • After setting, press the button at the top right All done.
  • Then you just have to choose dynamic folder name.
  • Finally, tap on the top right Done to create a dynamic folder.

So, using the above procedure, it is possible to create a dynamic filter folder in Notes on your iPhone with iOS 16 installed. This folder will then display all notes that match the predefined filters. Specifically, when setting up a dynamic folder, select filters for tags, created dates, modified dates, shared, mentions, to-do lists, attachments, folders, quick notes, pinned notes, locked notes, etc.
