One of the interesting features in iOS 16 and other new systems is undoubtedly the Shared Photo Library on iCloud. If you haven't noticed what this feature does, once you set it up and activate it, it creates a shared photo library that you can share with other users - for example, family or close friends. It is then possible to simply add content to the shared photo directly while taking the photo, or you can share it later. In addition to adding photos, all participants can delete content in the shared library and possibly edit it, which will definitely come in handy.

iOS 16: How to add another participant to a shared photo library

You can choose the participants of your shared photo library during the initial setup within the wizard. However, you can decide to add another participant later, and Apple has of course thought of this. So if you find yourself in a situation where you would like to add a user to an existing shared library, just proceed as follows:

  • First, you need to switch to the native app on your iOS 16 iPhone Settings.
  • Once you do, get off below, where find and click the section Photos.
  • Here then below in the category Library open the box Shared library.
  • Subsequently in the category Participants click on the row + Add participants.
  • This will open an interface where that's enough search for users and send an invitation.

So, using the above procedure, it is possible to add another participant to the shared photo library on your iOS 15 iPhone. Specifically, this procedure sends an invitation that the user must accept. But note that as soon as you add another user to the shared library, you will gain access to all existing photos and will be able to work with them. If you would like to remove users from the shared library, that's enough tap on his name, then press down Remove from a shared library and finally confirm the action.
