A few years ago, the native Photos application on the iPhone received a really significant and interesting improvement. For a long time, users complained about the impossibility of properly editing photos and videos, saying that they still had to rely on third-party applications, which of course may not be entirely ideal. Since the redesign of Photos, classic users practically do not need any other application to edit their photos and videos. The editing mode includes, for example, the option of cropping, setting filters, adjusting parameters (exposure, brightness, contrast, etc.) and much more.

iOS 16: How to bulk edit photos

If you are used to editing photos (and videos) within the Photos application, then you probably have one such problem that can be very annoying. If you are taking multiple photos at the same location, in most cases you only need to edit one photo, and then apply the same adjustments to the others. This is how it can be done, for example, in Adobe Lightroom and other similar applications. However, this option was missing in Photos until now, and each photo had to be manually edited separately. Mass editing of photos is now possible in iOS 16 and you can use it as follows:

  • First, you need to go to the native app on your iPhone Photos.
  • Then find a click modified photo whose edits you want to transfer to other photos in bulk.
  • Once you've done that, tap on at the top right icon of three dots in a circle.
  • Then select an option from the small menu that appears Copy edits.
  • Then click on it another photo to which you want to apply the adjustments.
  • Then tap again icon of three dots in a circle at the top right.
  • All you have to do here is select an option in the menu Embed edits.

So, using the above procedure, it is possible to easily edit photos in bulk in the Photos app on iPhone with iOS 16. If you would like to apply adjustments not only to one photo, but also to dozens or hundreds of other photos, then of course you can. You just need to move to Sunrise, where then in the upper right click on Choose and subsequently select photos to which you want to apply the adjustments. Finally, press the bottom right three dots icon in a circle and tap on Embed edits.
