Pavel Jelic A few years ago, Apple completely redesigned its Weather application, which began to display basic information about the weather in a nicer jacket. But the problem was that the data available wasn't really that detailed, so many users still had to download another application to track the weather forecast and other information. Gradually, however, Apple began to improve its native Weather - recently we saw the addition of radar maps and other functions. In iOS 15, notifications for extreme weather in the selected area were even added, but unfortunately this function was not available for the Czech Republic.

In addition to the fact that in Weather from iOS 16 we can find countless detailed information and graphs, users can finally activate alerts for extreme weather in the Czech Republic, even in the smallest villages. In the Czech Republic, these notifications for extreme weather use information from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, which can issue various warnings in the form of heavy rains and storms, strong winds or the possibility of fire, etc. If you would like to be the first to know about these warnings, there is nothing left but to turn on notifications for extreme weather, as follows:
- First, you need to go to the app on your iPhone Weather.
- Once you've done that, tap on the bottom right menu icon.
- You will then find yourself in the overview of cities, where you press in the upper right icon of three dots in a circle.
- This will open a small menu where you click on the box with the name Notification.
- That's enough here activate Extreme Weather, and that either u current location, or at individual cities.
- Finally, don't forget to tap on in the upper right corner All done.

Using the above procedure, it is therefore possible to activate extreme weather notifications on the iPhone in Weather from iOS 16. If you would like to activate these notifications for a city that is not on the list, just go back to the city overview and add it. As you may have noticed, the Hourly Precipitation Forecast is also located under the Extreme Weather function. It is also possible to turn on this function, in any case it is not available in the Czech Republic, so it does nothing.
