If we look at the quality of photos and videos with iPhones, we will find that they rank at the top of the world rankings every year. Let's not lie, the quality of the camera, and thus the entire photo system, is absolutely fantastic not only in the latest Apple phones. In many cases these days, we have trouble recognizing that a photo or video was taken with an iPhone. Apple tries to improve the photo system and camera functions every year, which is definitely appreciated by all of us. With the arrival of the iPhone 11, we also got the Night mode, thanks to which the iPhone is able to capture beautiful photos even in poor lighting conditions.

iOS 15: How to disable the automatic activation of Night Mode in the Camera

But the truth is that Night mode is not completely suitable in all cases. The fact that it activates automatically when it detects darkness or poor lighting can be an even bigger problem for some. So if the user doesn't want to use it, they have to deactivate it manually, which takes some time - and during that time, the object you want to take a picture of can disappear. If the automatic activation of Night Mode in the Camera annoys you, then I have great news for you. In iOS 15, it will be possible to disable this feature. Just follow this procedure:

  • First, you need to switch to the native app on your iPhone with iOS 15 Settings.
  • Once you've done that, scroll down and click the box Camera.
  • Then locate the line with the name in the upper category Keep settings and click on it.
  • Here you just need to use the switch activated possibility Night mode.
  • Then go back to your home screen and open the app Camera.
  • Finally, you just need to do it manually once and for all deactivating Night Mode.

Using the above method, you can deactivate the automatic launch of Night Mode on the iPhone. In particular, this procedure will ensure that even after leaving the Camera application, the Apple phone remembers whether you deactivated or left Night Mode active. By default, after leaving the Camera, the Night Mode function (and some others) switches to its original state, so the function is then automatically activated. However, please note that once you activate Night Mode again, it will remain active after leaving the Camera. Finally, I'll just point out that Night Mode is only available on iPhones 11 and later.
