Several long months have now passed since the introduction of new operating systems. In particular, Apple presented the new systems, namely iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15, at this year's developer conference WWDC, which took place in the summer. At this conference, the Californian giant presents new major versions of its operating systems every year. Currently, the mentioned operating systems are only available as beta versions, but that will change soon. In our magazine, we have been covering all new systems from Apple since the release of the very first beta versions. We gradually show all the news and improvements that the system comes with. Today in our how-to section, we're going to look at another change from iOS 15.

iOS 15: How to wipe data and reset settings

Although it might not seem like it at first glance, this year we saw many improvements, across all systems. The truth is that this year's presentation was not entirely ideal and in a way weaker, which could give some people the feeling that there is not much new. We saw, for example, a new and sophisticated Focus mode, a redesign of the FaceTime and Safari applications, and much more. In addition, Apple has come up with a new feature, thanks to which you can easily prepare for the transition to the new iPhone. Specifically, Apple will give you free iCloud space to store data from your current iPhone, and then simply transfer it to the new one. However, adding this option changed Settings and the option to delete data and reset settings is located in a different place:

  • First, you need to switch to the native app on your iPhone with iOS 15 Settings.
  • Once you've done that, go down a notch below and click the box In general.
  • Then scroll all the way down and press option Transfer or reset iPhone.
  • Subsequently, an interface will appear, where the new function for preparing for the new iPhone is primarily located.
  • Here at the bottom of the screen tap on the option resetovat whether Erase data and settings.
    • If you choose reset, so you will see a list of all options for performing a reset;
    • if you tap on Erase data and settings, so you can immediately erase all data and restore the device to factory settings.

So, through the above method, you can delete data and reset settings on your iPhone with iOS 15 installed. More precisely, you can use the option to reset data and settings, then you can reset the network, keyboard dictionary, desktop layout or location and privacy. After clicking on one of these items, in some cases you have to authorize and then confirm the action, so you can be sure that you definitely won't delete something by mistake.
