The presentation of the current latest operating systems in the form of iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 took place a few long months ago, specifically at the developer conference WWDC, where Apple presents new versions of its operating systems every year. Currently, all mentioned systems are only available as part of beta versions, but the good news is that we are only a few weeks away from the release of versions for the general public. The entire testing is thus gradually approaching the very end. The very first beta versions of the mentioned systems were released immediately after the end of the introductory presentation at this year's WWDC21, since then we have been constantly supplying you with articles and instructions in our magazine, in which we focus on new functions. In this article, we will cover iOS 15.

iOS 15: How to set the original Safari look

As is customary, the iOS 15 operating system received the largest number of innovations this year, but don't think that Apple resented other apple systems. In addition, there was also the release of a new version of Safari, which came with new features and mainly a redesign of the layout. One of the biggest changes is undoubtedly moving the address bar from the top of the screen to the bottom, under the guise of easier one-handed operation. But the truth is that this change became very controversial and not too many users were completely thrilled about it. Personally, I have no problem with the relocation, anyway, Apple decided to give users a choice. You can thus choose whether you want to use the original display with the address bar at the top, or the new display with the address bar at the bottom. Just proceed as follows:

  • First, you need to switch to the native app on your iOS 15 iPhone Settings.
  • Once you've done that, go down a notch below, where to locate and open the section Safari.
  • Then, on the next screen, slide down a piece below, up to the category named Panels.
  • All you have to do here is choose the layout. It has the original name One panel.

You can use this procedure to set Safari back to its original look on your iPhone with iOS 15 installed – just choose an option One panel. If, on the other hand, you choose the option row of panels, so Safari will use its new look, in which the address bar is at the bottom of the screen. In addition, when using the new view, you can easily switch between panels by simply swiping your finger from left to right or from right to left along the address bar.
