Soon, it will be one week since Apple's presentation at its own WWDC21 conference, where we saw the introduction of new operating systems for Apple devices. Specifically, these are iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15. Of course, we are already diligently testing all these newly introduced systems for you, so that we can provide you with all the new functions and possibilities that you can look forward to in the public versions of these systems. Currently only beta versions are available, which are intended exclusively for developers, public releases of new systems will be available in a few months. One of the great new features in iOS 15 that isn't talked about much is the forgotten device notification.
iOS 15: How to Enable Forgotten Device Notifications
If you are one of those people who are always forgetting, then you will surely find a new feature in iOS 15 useful. This feature can alert you when you forget the device of your choice. This means that if you activate the function on your MacBook, for example, if you leave work without it, you will be informed about this fact. The function can be activated as follows:
- First, you need to go to the native app on your iPhone with iOS 15 installed Find.
- Once you've done that, tap on the menu at the bottom of the screen Device.
- Next, find a in the list click on that device for which you want to activate the forget notification.
- The entire device profile will then be displayed. Click on the box here Notify to oblivion.
- Finally, all you have to do is use the switch activated possibility Notify about forgetting.
So, in the above way, you can activate the feature in iOS 15, thanks to which you will never forget your device again. However, it should be noted that the Notify me if you forget feature offers even more preferences for personalization. In particular, you can set it so that you do not receive a notification about the device being forgotten if it is in a certain location. This is useful if, for example, you leave your MacBook at home and do not take it to work with you. If you did not set an exception, you will receive a notification even if you deliberately did not take your MacBook (or other device) with you.
Does it work with airtags?
Put these articles back where you got them. Describing functions from beta versions here is of no use at all to ordinary users, rather harmful. In the sharp public version, which will be released in a few months, many things may be different.
Many users have installed the developer beta versions - these articles are intended for them. In order to distinguish it from classic instructions, we deliberately added "iOS 15" or "macOS 12" to the title. Thanks to this, immediately after reading the title, you know that you are not interested in the article and you do not even need to click on it. If these articles do not suit you, we have many other articles published here daily for you to choose from. We can't please everyone, and just because articles are useless to you doesn't mean they can't be beneficial to other users.
Well, it was a great idea to install a beta that turns Phoun into a paperweight.
What does that have to do with this tutorial? Everyone installs the beta on their own, if you have a paperweight from your iPhone, it's only your fault. This is a system for developers, not for the public.
Martin Černý And how did you come up with that?
Why does it tell me that notification is not supported?
