With the WWDC 2019 developer conference approaching, more details about iOS 13 are coming to the surface. The latest revealed features include dark mode and especially new gestures.

This year's WWDC developer conference will start on June 3 and, among other things, will bring beta versions of the new operating systems macOS 10.15 and especially iOS 13. The latter is supposed to focus on new functions that have been left behind in the current version of iOS 12 at the expense of stability.

But we will make up for it all in the thirteenth version. Dark Mode is already confirmed, i.e. dark mode, which Apple probably planned for the current version, but did not have time to debug it. Multiplatform applications of the Marzipan project will especially benefit from the dark mode, as macOS 10.14 Mojave already has a dark mode.

Tablets should see a significant improvement in multitasking. On iPads, we could now position the windows differently on the screen or group them together. We will not be dependent on only two (three) windows at the same time, which can be a limitation especially with the iPad Pro 12,9".

In addition to multitasking, Safari on iPads will be able to set the default desktop view. For now, the mobile version of the site is still displayed, and you have to force the desktop version, if any.

There will also be new gestures in iOS 13

Apple also wants to add better font support. These will have a special category directly in the system settings. Developers will thus be able to work better with the integrated library, while the user will always know if the application is not using an unsupported font.

Mail should also receive an essential function. It will become smarter and will better group messages according to subjects, in which it will also be better to search. In addition, the postman should get a function that allows the email to be marked for reading later. Cooperation with third-party applications should also improve.

Perhaps the most interesting are the new gestures. These will rely on three-finger scrolling. Moving left causes you to step back, right causes you to step forward. According to the information, however, they will be invoked above the running keyboard. In addition to these two gestures, there will also be new ones for selecting multiple elements at once and moving.

Of course many more to come details and especially the important emoji, without which we can no longer imagine the new version of the iOS mobile operating system.

We will find out the final list of features in less than two months at the opening Keynote at WWDC 2019.
