As every year, this year we will also monitor the adoption rate of the new operating system for iPhones - iOS 13. Apple officially released it a week ago, and during that time the new system has reached more than 20% of all active iOS devices.

Since its release last week, on September 19 to be precise, iOS 13 has managed to cross the 20% install mark of the total user base. Compared to the previous version of iOS 12, the current one is a bit better. However, this comparison is not entirely fair, as iPads with iOS 13 or iPadOS 13.1 only arrived this week, while last year iOS 12 was rolled out to all supported iPhones and iPads at once. Even so, the new system is doing better.

iOS 12 reached just over 19% of all active iOS devices a week after its release. iOS 11 was then even a bit slower. The reaction to the new operating system for iPhones and iPads is overwhelmingly positive. Users acknowledge the presence of long-awaited features such as Dark Mode. Some functional changes to default system applications are also positively evaluated. On the contrary, the launch of iOS 13 was accompanied by unusually more bugs than was the case with previous versions. The biggest and most critical ones, however, should be addressed with the 13.1 update that came out this week.

How satisfied are you with iOS 13 so far? Do you like the new changes, or are you bothered by more frequent bugs and unfinished business? Share your experience with us in the discussion below the article.
