Apple released the first beta of iOS 13.3 early yesterday evening, thus starting the testing of the third primary version of iOS 13. As expected, the new system again brings several major changes. For example, Apple has fixed a major bug related to multitasking on the iPhone, added new features to Screen Time, and also now allows you to remove Memoji stickers from the keyboard.

1) Fixed multitasking bug

Last week after the release of the sharp version of iOS 13.2, complaints of users whose iPhone and iPad have problems with multitasking began to multiply across the Internet. About the mistake we made you informed also here on Jablíčkář via an article in which we described the issue in more detail. The problem is that apps running in the background reload when reopened, making multitasking virtually impossible within the system. However, it seems that Apple focused on the error immediately after it was publicized and fixed it in the new iOS 13.3.

2) Calling and messaging limits

The Screen Time feature has also been significantly improved. In iOS 13.3, it allows you to set limits for calls and messages. Parents will thus be able to choose which contacts they can communicate with on their children's phones, whether through the Phone application, Messages or FaceTime (calls to emergency services numbers will always be automatically enabled). In addition, contacts can be selected for both classic and quiet time, which users usually set for the evening and night. Along with this, parents can prohibit editing of created contacts. And a feature has also been added that allows or disables adding a child to a group chat if someone from the family is a member.

3) Option to remove Memoji stickers from the keyboard

In iOS 13.3, Apple will also make it possible to remove Memoji and Animoji stickers from the keyboard, which were added with iOS 13 and users often complained about the lack of an option to disable them. So Apple finally listened to the complaints of its customers and added a new switch to Settings -> Keyboard to remove the Memoji stickers from the left side of the emoticon keyboard.

The new iOS 13.3 is currently only available to developers who can download it for testing purposes in the Developer Center at Apple's official website. If they have the appropriate developer profile added to their iPhone, they can find the new version directly on the device in Settings –> General –> Software Update.

Alongside iOS 13.3 beta 1, Apple also released the first beta versions of iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13.3 and watchOS 6.1.1 yesterday.
