iOS 13 brought several significant changes. One of the not-so-positive ones is the way the system now manages content stored in RAM. With the arrival of the new system, users began to complain that some applications had to be loaded much more often when reopening than on last year's iOS 12. the new iOS 13.2, here the situation is even a little worse.

The problem mainly concerns applications such as Safari, YouTube or Overcast. If the user consumes content in them, then, for example, decides to unsubscribe from iMessage and returns to the original application after a while, then all the content is loaded again. This means that after switching to another application, the system automatically evaluates that the original application will no longer be needed by the user and removes most of it from RAM. It tries to free up space for other content, but in reality it complicates the use of the device as such.

Also important is the fact that the aforementioned ailment affects not only older devices, but even the newest ones. Owners of iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Pro, i.e. currently the most powerful mobile devices offered by Apple, report the problem. On the MacRumors forum, several users are complaining about apps reloading.

“I was watching a YouTube video on my iPhone 11 Pro. I paused the video just to reply to the message. I was in iMessage for less than a minute. When I returned to YouTube, the app reloaded, causing me to lose the video I was watching. I noticed the same problem on my iPad Pro. Apps and panels in Safari load much more frequently than in iOS 12. It's quite annoying.”

From a layman's point of view, it can be said that iPhones and iPads simply do not have enough RAM. However, the problem lies in the management of operating memory by the system as such, since everything was fine on iOS 12. So Apple probably made certain changes in iOS 13 that cause frequent loading of applications. But some believe that this is a mistake.

With the arrival of iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2, the problem is even more extensive. Users began to complain about the frequent loading of applications Twitter, Reddit and even directly on the official ones Apple Support website. The company itself has not yet commented on the situation. But let's hope they fix the app's behavior in an upcoming update.
