Apple is expected to release a new iPad Pro product line later this year. All sorts of guesses, predictions and concepts are already circulating on the Internet regarding what Apple's new tablets could look like. However, it seems that the iOS 12 operating system itself finally provided the most accurate help.

Speculations regarding the next iPad Pro often say that the latest version of the Apple tablet will be devoid of the home button, modeled on the iPhone X, will have significantly thinner bezels and will have the Face ID function. At least the approximate answer to the question about the appearance of the new iPads was finally somewhat surprisingly provided by Apple itself.

In the latest fifth beta version of the iOS 12 operating system for developers, an icon was revealed, which confirms that we could really expect a practically bezel-less iPad this fall. The icon was discovered in the battery usage section of the user interface and shows a drawing of an iPad with significantly thinner bezels and no home button at all. It wouldn't be the first time the operating system has revealed an unreleased product - last year, for example, it was a bezel-less iPhone that was leaked in software inside the HomePod. With the iPad in the leaked icon, one can't help but notice that the iPad lacks the cutout known from the iPhone X. This confirms speculation that this year's iPads - unlike Apple's smartphones - will indeed be notchless. You can see a comparison of the current and "developer" version of the iPad icon in the picture.

The unveiling of the icon in the iOS 12 operating system does not necessarily mean that we will actually see iPads that look like this this fall, but it is very likely. Among other speculations regarding the upcoming iPad is the operation of Face ID in a horizontal position, although the previous speculations talked about the possibility of using Face ID only when the iPad is positioned vertically.
