During today's keynote, at which Apple presented the news coming with iOS 12, one detail was not heard that concerns iPad owners who will receive iOS 12 (that is, everyone who works with the current version of iOS 11, since the list of supported devices does not change). With the arrival of the new operating system, iPads will receive a set of several gestures that users know from the iPhone X.

The information appeared shortly after Apple made available both the first version of the developer beta version and published the official list of changes and news on its website. It can be expected that similar bits of news that Apple did not mention during the keynote will continue to appear for several hours.

As for those gestures, it will mainly be a gesture to access the control center or return to the home screen. The position of the clock, which has moved to the left side of the top bar, also copies the iPhone environment.

This change suggests two things we can look forward to in the fall. On the one hand, Apple may want to unify the controls on iOS devices with what iPhones will arrive - according to the latest speculations, all new iPhones should have the same design as the iPhone X, so they will be without a Home Button and gestures will be mandatory. In the second case, Apple may be preparing the ground for iPads that will offer a frameless display and a cut-out for FaceID. This alternative has also been talked about for several months. Apple wouldn't add gestures to iPads for nothing. We will hopefully learn more information in time.
