It will soon be three months since iOS 12 has been available to regular users. While in the first days of the new system with no significant success did not meet, has gained the majority share over time and is now installed on 70% of all compatible devices.

Current statistics informing about the share of individual iOS versions shared Apple on its developer site. In addition to the data mentioned above, we learn here that 11% of all users who have the option of updating are still on last year's iOS 21. 9% of users kept one of the older versions of iOS. If we compare the numbers with last year's iOS 11, then iOS 12 performs significantly better. A year ago at this time, the latest system was installed on only 59% of all devices, which is a significant difference compared to 70% in the case of iOS 12. Not surprisingly, however, iOS 11 contained a large number of bugs that discouraged users from updating. In contrast, this year's system speeds up older devices, is much better optimized, and has overall positive reviews.

The latest minor version is currently iOS 12.1. However, since the end of October, Apple has been testing iOS 12.1.1 together with developers, which should be released for all users in December.
