iOS 11 is definitely not the streamlined and seamless system we've been used to from Apple for years. Since its release, there have been many disgruntled users who don't like something about the new system. Some people are bothered by significantly worse battery life, others are bothered by the lack of debugging and frequent crashes of some applications. For others, the general lack of fine-tuning of the user interface and, above all, errors in design and layout that were previously unimaginable for Apple are the main shortcomings. The company is trying to patch and finish iOS 11, currently we have the third iteration 11.0.3 and iOS 11.1 has been in the stage for several weeks beta testing. Another interesting bug appeared today that is in iOS 11 and everyone can try it out.

Try entering the following example on your phone (or iPad with some 3rd party calculator application, but in this case the problem does not appear with such regularity): 1+2+3. You should get 6 correctly, but many devices will show 23 or 24, which is definitely not the correct result. As it turns out, iOS 11 has a bug that causes pressing the "+" sign to not register if you type it quickly after entering a number. If you do the whole calculation slowly, the calculator will calculate everything as it should. However, if you click the example at normal speed (or slightly faster), the error will appear.

The most likely cause of this problem is the animation, which is quite long and must be completed in order to register the next character or number. So as soon as you enter another number or operation even before the animation from the previous action ends, this problem occurs. It's definitely nothing major, rather it's just another example of what "everything" is wrong with the new version of the iOS operating system. It can be expected that Apple will adjust the animations in the calculator in iOS 11.1.
