The full-fledged version of iOS 10 has been available since September 13, but the official numbers of how many iPhones, iPads and iPod touches use the new system have not yet been released. This is what Apple has now revealed. The iOS 10 operating system is already running on more than half of the active devices that connect to the App Store, where the company measures results, but the growth rate is not as high as last year with iOS 9.
Apple posted the news in the developer section, saying that as of October 7, iOS 10 was installed on 54 percent of active devices. Until now, only anecdotal data from various analytics firms was available, but it showed a significantly higher share of iOS 10. For example MixPanel measured the same percentage as Apple as of September 30 and reported more than 7 percent on October 64, however it uses different metrics to measure, namely data from websites.
There can be no doubt that news such as the improved iMessage service or Siri's cooperation with third-party developers attracted users, but the growth rate compared to the previous version of iOS 9 is somewhat behind. She already was used on more than half of devices after the first weekend after launch. iOS 10 needed approximately 25 days to do this.
If they introduced some real news that would also be useful, then maybe... Out of iOS 10's visible functions, I consider CallKit to be the most interesting, but that's still a little bit...
Since the transition from iOS 8 to 9 was supported on all devices. And the transition from iOS 9 to 10 does not logically mean that the start will be slower...
Does anyone know how to block the ios10 download?
Then I figure that I turn off wifi when charging (otherwise it downloads over 1 GB of updates, which is annoying and I have to delete it manually) I don't want to jailbreak - I have 9.3.1 and I don't want to change if everything works as it should...
Eva steps, first-setting-iTunes and App Store- updates turn off, second step-settings-general-storage and iCloud usage-manage storage-and delete os10 twice it automatically downloaded twice I deleted it and since then I have been at peace
yes, but as soon as the ios10 update is available, it downloads again when connected to the power supply and when Wi-Fi is turned on.
It shouldn't be, if it bothers you with the update 3 times a day. Is there a way to turn it off if I don't want to update?
Unfortunately, it cannot be turned off completely, but it can be partially bypassed. We are preparing instructions.
