Instapaper is a great tool for any iPhone article reader. It allows you to bookmark a page (either from desktop, mobile Safari or often from 3rd party iPhone applications) and then read this article offline in the mobile version (trimmed with unnecessary items such as advertisements or menus) thanks to the Instapaper iPhone application.

The great thing about Instapaper is that you can save a lot of articles while browsing the Internet in the morning, download them to your iPhone and read them later, for example, on the subway. Thanks to the fact that Instapaper cuts all the unnecessary parts of the web, the articles are downloaded to the iPhone quickly and with just a GPRS connection.

But Instapaper used to remove images from the article as well and often left a lot of unnecessary text (and when it didn't work, it left more than just unnecessary text on some pages). But Instapaper is constantly improving, and today developer Marco Arment introduced a new ballast cutter that leaves images in the text.

For now, this is only a beta version, so this parser will not work correctly on all sites, but so far I have almost always been lucky (it does not work correctly, for example, on Zive.cz, but I have already reported the problem). And the results of the new sharpener are excellent! You turn on the new parser when you enter the site Instapaper.com and here in the settings you select the new "New text parser with images". It will be used immediately in your iPhone application as well.
