Instagram, one of the most popular social networks today, will once again undergo fundamental changes that will have a significant impact on the overall functioning of the network. Originally, Instagram was based on displaying photos chronologically based on when they were posted. However, after the acquisition by Facebook, the network underwent a drastic change, when it received a new algorithm modeled on the blue ruler in the field of social networks. Thanks to this, posts began to be displayed relevantly to users. Today, however, Instagram on his blog he announced other changes that partially return to the roots.

From the short post, we learn that Instagram will once again focus on displaying new photos. However, in a different spirit than it was in the beginning. The algorithm will undergo such a change that it will continue to select relevant content, but will now place more emphasis on new posts. Ultimately, this means that users will no longer see photos that are several days old at the top, but mostly the most recent ones that will be relevant at the same time.

In addition to the new algorithm, there is another major change that will take place on Instagram. In the new version, the post wall will not update automatically after the application is launched. Instead, a "New posts" button will be added to the app, and the user will be able to choose whether to view older photos or videos first, or refresh the wall and view the latest content.

Instagram decided to implement both of the changes described above mainly because of user complaints. The network itself admitted in the post that it had received feedback indicating dissatisfaction with the current algorithm, which came into effect in June 2016. Changes should be made over the coming months.
