Instagram is preparing big changes for today's update of its mobile applications. Not only is it changing the look of the icon after many years after many calls from its users, but it is also putting the black and white look of the entire application interface. According to Instagram, these news are in line with how its community has transformed in recent years.

The new icon, which runs from one corner to the other in orange, yellow and pink, among other things, is much simpler and above all "flatter", which has been the biggest complaint of users so far. The old Instagram icon did not fit the style of the new iOS at all. The new one, which keeps a link to the original version, already does.

While the icon is bursting with colors, the exact opposite changes have occurred inside the application. Instagram decided to make the graphic interface only in black and white, which is mainly intended to highlight the content itself, when the users themselves will create the colors of the application. The interface and controls themselves will stay in the background and won't interfere.

Otherwise, everything remains the same, i.e. the same layout of controls and other buttons, including their functions, so although users will click on a different colored icon from today to appear in a non-colored application, they will still use Instagram in the same way. On mobile devices, however, Instagram is trying to make it look much simpler, cleaner and also more modern, which is helped, for example, by the use of the system font in iOS.

Other Instagram applications, namely Layout, Hyperlapse and Boomerang, also received a change of icons. They are similar in color to the ones on Instagram and, in some cases, better show what the application is for.
