Instagram includes twelve built-in graphic filters for the photos you take. In addition, you can add a Lomography effect to your images or let you be transported to 1977, for example. To create the right atmosphere, you will see a corresponding preview for each photo. You simply choose which modification suits you best and captures what you are trying to convey with the photo.
After editing, you can name the picture and add information about the place where it was taken. This is done by the program either automatically based on your location or you enter the location data manually. Subsequently, you have the option of publishing your work online in services such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr or Foursquare.

Photos are also automatically saved on the service's servers, where you can view them. The possibility of sharing photos with friends and commenting on images is the same. Friends who use the service can be searched directly from the application either from the address book, Facebook or Twitter account. You can view popular photos of other users on iPhone, or send your shots to anyone by email.
A condition for using the service is the free creation of an account with its operator. However, this only takes a few seconds. The application is available for all iPhone and iPod devices with iOS 3.1.2 and higher. Instagram also fully supports the latest iPhone 4 and uses a higher camera resolution.
