We acknowledge that the previous days were quite hectic in terms of news and groundbreaking discoveries. Practically every day, new information appeared about vaccines, astronomical discoveries and the deep space that humanity is slowly but surely exploring. Fortunately, with the weekend, the influx of similar news has subsided somewhat, but this does not mean that we do not have other most interesting news of the day for you. Although we won't be taking a trip to space this time, we are still expecting the epic return of Indiana Jones and, above all, news from behind the scenes of the Disney+ service, which according to the latest information is doing extremely well.

Indy again on the scene. Harrison Ford returns for one last shot of adrenaline

Who does not know the legendary Indiana Jones film series, which has been breaking almost all records since the 80s, and although it may seem that there are countless similar adventure films, it used to be almost a miracle. After all, who among you hasn't developed a pretty strong relationship with Indy, the intrepid main character who jumps into any dangerous action without hesitation and isn't afraid of even his arch-enemies. One way or another, unfortunately, a good number of years have passed since the last part, and somehow there was a general opinion that Harrison Ford is simply no longer suitable for similar action pieces. After all, he is also approaching eighty, so "retirement" would be quite understandable.

Don't be fooled though, Indy isn't putting away his lasso and proverbial hat just yet. On the contrary, it seems that Harrison Ford has somehow stopped enjoying the "boring, bland" roles he has been forced into in recent years, and the old man with the soul of a young man still wants to try a few acrobatic stunts. This was also confirmed by Disney, who promised the return of Indiana Jones to the movie screens or streaming services in July 2022. One way or another, the famous Steven Spielberg, who shot the first 4 parts, will not participate in the direction, but James Mangold, who is behind, for example, such hits like Logan or Ford vs. Ferrari. Although the fans can chatter that the film will not have their favorite director at hand, we would not be so worried about the result.

Disney Plus is breaking records. The number of subscribers climbed to 86.3 million

Although it could be argued that the only rightful king in the field of streaming services is Netflix, where there is no dispute about market dominance, competition has been growing rapidly recently, offering not only a slightly different style from the mainstream, but also famous film and series sagas , which simply cannot be found anywhere else. We are talking in particular about the Disney+ service, which although most of the bad tongues initially laughed and many skeptics counted on the fact that it would not have the slightest chance compared to Netflix. In the end, however, Disney really turned around. In the first year alone, the platform gained over 86.3 million subscribers, i.e. less than half of what Netflix currently has.

Although one could argue about the rocket growth and think about how sustainable it is, neither shareholders nor experts are worried about the fate of Disney+. According to them, the number of subscribers will rise to 4 million in the next 230 years, which would quickly catch up with Netflix and, who knows, maybe even share the first place with it. It is Netflix that is currently around 200 million, and although its subscribers are still growing rapidly, Disney+ has a slight edge in this regard. And it's no wonder, since September alone, around 13 million new paying members have been added in two months, which is not a bad score at all. We'll see how far Disney, betting on Star Wars in particular, will take it.

Facebook employees will not be required to undergo vaccinations. A negative test will be enough for them

Opponents of all vaccines, shudder. Although one might assume that most tech giants would take a more controversial approach and "force" employees to undergo vaccination against the disease COVID-19, at least in the case of Facebook, this will not be the case. Of course, this does not mean that there will not be a whole range of protocols in the offices, whether it is in terms of testing, active social distancing or wearing masks and face coverings. Even so, it seems that Mark Zuckerberg will not explicitly demand vaccinations from his loyal employees. He says he believes in a vaccine and will definitely sign up for one when the time is right, but he sees no reason to force workers to do the same.

A whole number of employers and multinational corporations have decided to demand from employees not only a negative test, but also the vaccination certificate itself. The rest, especially technology companies, on the other hand, have chosen a somewhat more conservative approach and instead of vaccination and a mass return to the office, they will allow people to work from home until mid-2021. One way or another, this does not mean that Facebook intends to start opening offices now. According to a company spokesperson, the CEO wants to wait until the situation stabilizes, calms down and employees can return undisturbed. Of course, we are also waiting for a vaccine, which should be available to all interested parties.
