The most important thing, however, is that the products from this company are compatible with the Apple HomeKit smart home and can thus be completely controlled through the native application on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or MacBook, or using the Siri voice assistant. With the arrival of April, it brings 5 interesting news. So let's take a quick look at them.
5 new products are coming
IKEA is quite popular in the field of smart home, as it offers relatively interesting products. They stand out from the others due to their design and functionality, where they place considerable emphasis on lifestyle and complete a stylish home. Interesting things like a smart picture frame with a Wi-Fi speaker, shelf speakers, blinds and lamps are available. It is therefore not surprising that the new "five" builds on the same foundations.
With the arrival of April, the BETTORP dimmable portable lamp will enter the market, the base of which will also be used for wireless charging via the Qi standard (with a power of up to 5 W). According to the official product description, it will offer three types of lighting namely strong, medium and soothing, and will also support the use of AA rechargeable batteries. It will then cost 1690 CZK. Another novelty is the NYMÅNE LED hanging lamp with a dimmable white spectrum, where the color can be adjusted from 2200 kelvin to 4000 kelvin. It will therefore provide both warm yellowish light and neutral white. It already includes a replaceable light bulb, but for its "smart operation" it cannot do without the TRÅDFRI gate. The price is set at CZK 1990.

With another piece, IKEA follows up on its earlier product, which combined a lamp with a Wi-Fi speaker. The same is the case with VAPPEBY with a price tag of CZK 1690. But there is a fundamental difference - this product is intended for outdoor use, and the company mentions its ideal use at outdoor parties or on balconies. It offers 360° sound and the Spotify Tap playback function, which automatically generates music from Spotify according to the user's taste, or according to what songs he listens to through his account. As for the lamp, it is primarily intended to perform a decorative function and pleasantly illuminate the table. Since this piece is intended for outdoor use, it is also resistant to dust and water according to IP65 certification and has a practical handle.
Next comes the TREDANSEN blackout blind available in five sizes. It should block light and insulate the room from drafts and solar heat. Specifically, it will cost 2 CZK, and again, the mentioned TRÅDFRI gate is needed for proper functioning. A quite similar product is the PRAKTLYSING blind for CZK 990, which has a relatively similar use. Although it also insulates against drafts and heat, this time it only filters sunlight (instead of blocking it completely), thereby preventing glare on the screens in the room. It will again be available in five sizes and will cost 2490 CZK. The TRÅDFRI gate is again a must for her.
The rise of the smart home
As we mentioned in the introduction, IKEA is a solid player in the field of smart home and enjoys considerable popularity especially among apple buyers thanks to the support of HomeKit, which unfortunately we do not find with every manufacturer.
