The release of the new AirPods is accompanied by one interesting "case", related to the quality of sound delivery. Some users who have already received the new generation of popular headphones claim that the new AirPods play better than the first generation. Other users claim that there is no difference in the quality of sound production. Is it a placebo or is there really something new about the new AirPods without Apple mentioning it in any way?

An analysis prepared by technicians from the iFixit server can give us a hint. They disassembled the new AirPods down to the smallest detail, so we can see in detail what is inside, or what has changed since the last time.

As you can see for yourself in the gallery and the attached video, not much has changed since the original version. It is still impossible to disassemble the headphones without permanent damage, so any repairs or service are completely out of the question.

As for the changes, the closing mechanism of the box differs slightly from the last one, the presence of coils for wireless charging. The entire motherboard is now more covered in insulation, so the entire system should be more waterproof, even if Apple does not officially claim anything like that.

There is still the same battery in the box, identical cells are also in the individual AirPods. The converter that takes care of sound production is also the same.

A new chip can be seen on the motherboards of each handset, which, according to the label, belongs to Apple and is a completely new H1 chip. It is he who takes care of better connectivity and improved durability of the headphones during calls. In addition, iFixit found that the chip supports Bluetooth 5.0, which was one of the unexplained features until now.

Except for better water resistance and a newer Bluetooth standard, nothing else has changed, and AirPods are still the same headphones with everything that goes with them, be it negatives or positives.
