The concept of invoicing is not foreign to me. I issue invoices sporadically, but I rather take part in their creation and sometimes get involved in the customer's invoicing process. Although it's a very simple matter, it can sometimes be pretty annoying.

Thanks to these activities, I have developed certain prejudices. For something as small as an iPhone, there can't be an application that would provide me with all the comfort that standard programs do. You can argue that a Numbers template is practically enough for an invoice. Or through third-party applications to other spreadsheets. You're right, but anyone who has ever filled out such a template will certainly agree with me that I can edit such a file on the iPhone, but it won't provide me with the real comfort - the simplicity that an application tailored to the given resolution can provide. Alternatively, if I wanted to make my work easier with a macro or script, I am also very limited.

However, this changed when the app appeared on the App Store iInvoices CZ from Mr. Erik Hudák. I was tempted by this application, but I didn't have the courage to try it. And honestly, I'm quite sorry that it doesn't have a demo version, because if it did, I wouldn't hesitate.

The application is intended for the simple creation of invoices, as they say in a foreign language "On the go", i.e. on the fly. Whether you're on the bus, in the office, at the football game, wherever you are, you can create an invoice - in just a few minutes. For some people it may not be much for so much money, in any case, what he specializes in, he does excellently.

After starting the application, we will see a straight screen in which we can create a new invoice, just like that, cleanly. The important thing is that if we are comfortable with the basic settings of the application, we can issue an invoice right away, because the option to add customers and suppliers is right here - if we move to the appropriate list item. For both, data about addresses, accounts and the like is filled in. Simply the information that is mandatory on the invoice, according to the relevant laws.

After filling in the contractual parties, all you have to do is fill in the details of the invoice, such as number, variable symbol, date of issue, maturity, etc. Of course, you also need to fill in the items for which we charge. I would like to dwell on a few things here. Although the application can preset the invoice number as a variable symbol (after turning it on in the Settings), in any case, I would welcome the automatic generation of the invoice number for, for example, this year. Anyway, I admit that this request is not one of the easiest. If the developer wants to satisfy everyone, he has to take into account the fact that the application is used by a person with several companies, and then a problem with the number series could arise, i.e. when it should increment 1 to 2 and 5 to 6 at the same time.

The resulting invoice can only be sent by email, when we are able to pre-fill the postal addresses directly in the application settings - and the invoice will arrive there. Maybe in the future it would be worth considering whether it wouldn't be a good idea to add e-mail addresses to subscribers and send them invoices directly from the iPhone electronically.

Other things can also be prepared in the application settings, such as VAT rates, invoice opening text, constant symbols, etc. It is good that the application keeps the VAT rates for the given invoice. So if you issue an invoice and subsequently change the VAT, the old VAT will be there. I wanted to propose greater variability in VAT and with validity, possibly with more rates. (After all, we don't know what the best finance minister of developing countries will do). In any case, I think that the current solution is sufficient and that the rate is stored directly in the invoice is a simple and functional solution.

Last but not least, I'll sharpen the overview of invoices. Here we see the invoices that have been issued and we can tick off those that have already been paid and those that have not. In any case, the possibility of a filter that would display, for example, unpaid invoices from customer XYZ is completely missing. Although the application assigns paid invoices to the bottom of the list, I still think that it will not be the right thing for a large number of invoices.

The invoice is displayed as a classic PDF, where all the requirements are given by the Accounting Act and the Accounting Act. Unfortunately, only one template is given, which may not suit everyone. It is not possible to add a company logo or an electronic signature. In the future, I would welcome more templates, or the possibility of further setting the appearance of the existing one.

In my opinion, the application also lacks synchronization with iCloud or Dropbox for backing up created invoices. Your iPhone can collapse and what then? They say back up, back up, but honestly, how many of us mortals do that? Subsequently, the option to download data via iTunes is also missing, all you have to do is send an invoice by email. It is enough, but…

The application is very successful despite my few criticisms. If you do not issue a large number of invoices per year, I think that iFaktury CZ will find application for you if you are looking for a simple tool for creating them. However, if you need something more sophisticated, I would advise you to look elsewhere and not look for a simple tool for creating invoices, but directly for some information system.

[do action="update"/]

In the last major update, the application has received several new features that users have been asking for. These include the ability to insert a logo and stamp with a signature, sign an invoice directly on the iPhone display, monitor the statistics of created invoices, a list of predefined items and electronic printing (ePrint) have also been added. Some bugs have also been fixed. iInvoices are currently free for one month.
