IBM employees are in for something new starting this week. When they choose a new work computer, it doesn't have to be just a PC anymore. IBM has announced that it will also offer MacBook Pro or MacBook Air to its employees and wants to deploy 2015 of them across the company by the end of 50.

Naturally, each MacBook will contain necessary tools such as VPN or various security applications, and IBM will coordinate the deployment of Macs with Apple, which of course has more experience with similar matters.

According to its claims, IBM already has around 15 active Macs in the company, which employees brought with them as part of the so-called BOYD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. Thanks to the new program, IBM is even supposed to be the largest company supporting Macs in the world.

Collaboration between Apple and IBM was launched in July last year and under the banner of MobileFirst, both companies develop mobile applications for the corporate sphere. Also in April announced, that they are going to help Japanese seniors.
