These protests arose against police brutality and racism in the US, due to the brutal police intervention in which a police officer knelt on George Floyd's neck for several minutes. Unfortunately, protests are gradually turning into looting and robbery, even so, the world's largest companies have decided to fight racism with all kinds of practices. Various global companies are shutting down their services to create awareness and the entire world is currently living on nothing else.

David Hanak GTA Online is shutting down its servers!
In one of the previous IT summaries, we already informed you that some (not only) game studios are taking various steps due to the situation in the USA - for example, Sony decided to cancel a conference that was supposed to take place today, Activision decided to suspend the launch of new seasons in its of Call of Duty games, EA Games postponed the launch of the title NFL 21 and more. Most of these events took place under the sign of #BlackoutTuesday, i.e. "Black Tuesday". The game studio Rockstar Games, which is behind well-known titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, decided to do something similar. Both of these titles have an online game world available, specifically in the form of GTA Online and RDR Online. Rockstar has decided to respond to the current situation by shutting down all game servers of these games for two whole hours. The servers have already been shut down at 20:00 today. The shutdown will last for another full hour, i.e. until 22:00 p.m. In the meantime, you can happily go have dinner, wash up and watch TV for a while.

Performance tests of the upcoming processor from Intel appeared on the Internet a short time ago. He is planning to introduce new processors from the Tiger Lake family in the third quarter of this year. These processors will be intended for laptops and will be referred to as “11. generation". Specifically, the upcoming processor labeled Intel Core i7-1165G7 appeared in the notorious performance test 3DMark 11 Performance, in which it received a total score of 6 points. The aforementioned processor will be built on a 211nm production process, the base clock should reach 10 GHz, Turbo Boost then 2.8 GHz, which is a huge improvement compared to its predecessor (4.7 GHz, TB 1.3 GHz). On the other hand, it must be noted that Intel has been drowning in failure for a long time, due to the high TDP of its processors, which simply cannot be cooled. Compared to the competing chip (similar category) AMD Ryzen 3.9 7U, the upcoming processor from Intel is better only in terms of graphics performance - but it must be noted that AMD will certainly prepare an answer.

In one of the past IT summaries, you could have read about how Donald Trump, the President of the USA, is struggling with the social network Twitter. The social network recently added a new feature that can automatically detect the content of posts. If the post contains, for example, violence or false information, the tweet is marked accordingly. This does not please the aforementioned Donald Trump, whose posts have already been similarly labeled several times. Snapchat has now joined this imaginary war, deciding not to promote Trump-related posts and stories in any way. With this, Trump will be able to write his thoughts in his diary in no time at all.

If you are at least a little interested in the Universe, then you will certainly not miss the information that some interesting (exo)planets have been found from time to time - sometimes even the newly discovered planets are very similar to ours. So it is expected that life could be found on these planets. One such planet was recently found near the star Kepler-160 and was given the designation KOI-456.04. The mentioned star Kepler-160, around which the "copy of the Earth" orbits, is three thousand light-years away from us - it is therefore located outside our solar system and is therefore an exoplanet. There should be water in liquid form on the surface of KOI-456.04, and despite the fact that it is much larger than Earth, it is described as habitable. Unfortunately, it is not clear what the atmosphere is like on Earth 2.0, so it is pointless to rejoice for now.
