The long wait is over. Apple today officially announced when pre-orders will begin and when sales of the HomePod wireless smart speaker will begin. If you are lucky enough to live in one of the countries that fall into the first wave of this product launch, you will be able to pre-order the new product this Friday, with it arriving in two weeks at the earliest.

According to official news, which Apple published on its website, the HomePod will be available for pre-order on Friday, January 26, with the first models being delivered to its customers from February 9. In the first phase of sales, the wireless smart speaker will only be available to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The next wave will include France and Germany, when sales in these countries will begin sometime "during the spring." Availability in other countries was not specified.

Apple has set the HomePod price at $349 in the US. In addition to the official web store and brick-and-mortar Apple stores, the speaker will also be available in all major chains such as Best Buy, Shop Direct, Argos and more. The speaker should offer top-notch sound quality, as well as Siri integration. The first reviews should appear shortly before release. We probably won't see sales in the Czech Republic just like that.
