Photo applications and editors are available in the App Store like mushrooms after the rain. A nice number of new apps appear every month as well. So the question arises, why download and try more? Maybe because each of them offers something different – original adjustments, filters and other editing options. In the same way, an application that I like may no longer be liked by others. For that reason too, it's nice to have a larger supply in the apple device and use them so-called tailored to the given scene.

Dreamy Photo HDR, created by colleagues from Slovakia, from the Binarts studio, is also very original in many ways. They created a dreamy photo application, which hides both the shooting mode and subsequent adjustments.

The main meaning and charm that the developers emphasized are original filters and adjustments that resemble dreamy scenes and Hollywood images. The application offers several options that can be used. Dreamy Photo HDR can take photos in live view, while you can directly combine various filters, frames, geometric shapes and many other adjustments. The advantage of this mode is that you can immediately see how the given photo will look, saving you time with subsequent editing.

As the name of the application suggests, Dreamy can also take photos in HDR mode. The meaning of this is that the HDR algorithm can combine images from three exposures, namely -2.0 EV, 0,0 EV and 2.0 EV. The application then combines everything into one perfect photo. You can clearly see this in the following photos.

Logically, the second option of the application is a handy editor, into which you can upload already photographed images and edit them as you wish. The first time you launch it, you will find yourself in an intuitive interface where you can see all the available options. The first thing that catches your attention is the camera. Right at the top there are a few useful settings that can come in handy sometimes. Specifically, it is about setting the photo format, flash, rotating the camera for taking selfies and, now, turning HDR mode on/off.

There is a settings button in the corner, where you can choose, for example, whether the pictures taken should be saved directly to Pictures, or keep the originals, etc. You can also find vignetting and color settings here. At the very bottom are the options related to the adjustments themselves or subsequent editing.

If you press the source button, you can choose from your gallery already photographed images or take an image in the application. Above all, Dreamy Photo HDR offers dozens of different filters. These are tuned to warm to romantic colors, but you can also find filters for black and white, monochrome or sepia. Once you have selected a suitable filter, you can proceed to further adjustments, i.e. add various reflections, scratches, colors, dirt and other textures.

Of course, the application also offers various frames or remaking the entire composition by rotating, mirroring or otherwise modifying the photo to your liking. Dreamy Photo HDR also includes a vignetting option and a timer for selfie photos.

On the contrary, what the application does not offer are more advanced photographic parameters, such as aperture, time or ISO settings. On the other hand, zoom and white balance mode can be used in the application. There is also a slider in the application that you can use to adjust the intensity of the selected filter.

Dreamy Photo HDR is a free download from the App Store, and you can run it on all iOS devices. The disadvantage of the free version is the watermark and advertising, which frankly spoils the design of the entire application. Fortunately, as part of in-app purchases, it can be removed for an acceptable three euros. Thanks to iOS 8, you can, of course, export the finished images in various ways and share them on social networks.
