If you are interested in Apple computers, then you surely know that a few months ago we finally saw the release of macOS Ventura to the public. This operating system brings a lot of great news and features, but we also got two brand new native apps that weren't available on the Mac before - namely Weather and Clock. While we have already addressed the first application, see the article below, we will now address the second. Let's get straight to the point

What can be done in Hours

Clock in macOS is practically a copy of this application from iPadOS. So if you're wondering what it can do in the Clock on a Mac, the options are absolutely identical to iPadOS, i.e. iOS. The entire application is thus divided into four tabs. The first tab is world time, where you can view the time in different cities around the world. The second tab is Alarm clock, where of course you can easily set an alarm clock. In the third tab Stopwatch it is subsequently possible to activate the stopwatch and in the last, fourth category with the name a minute you can set a countdown, i.e. a minute.

A minute in the top bar

As I mentioned on the previous page, in Clock from macOS you can also set a minute, i.e. a countdown, among other things. But the good news is that once you do, a countdown will appear in the top bar. Thanks to this, you always have an overview of how much time is left until the end of the countdown, and you don't have to unnecessarily click through the Clock application. If you click on the countdown in the top bar, you will be back in the Clock application. Unfortunately, it is not possible to set multiple minutes at the same time.

Running a timer through Spotlight

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to start a minute really quickly, you should know that you don't need to go to the Clock app, but you can do so directly from Spotlight. Specifically, in this case, a pre-prepared shortcut is used, which you call up simply by typing start the timer into the text field Spotlight and pressing the key Enter. Subsequently, the interface of the shortcut opens, where all you have to do is set the parameters of the timer and start it.

Adding a new alarm clock or world time

The Clock app on Mac includes Alarm and World Time sections, among others. In both of these sections, it is possible to add multiple records, i.e. alarm clocks or times in different cities. If you would like to do so, just move to a specific section, and then press in the upper right corner of the window the + icon. Then a window will appear where you in case alarm clock set time, repeat, label, sound and snooze option and in case world time search for a specific location and confirm it.

Analogue or digital stopwatch

By default, the stopwatch is displayed in digital form in the Stopwatch tab of the Clock. However, if for some reason the digital ones do not suit you, then you should know that you can switch to analog ones. It's not complicated, just move to the app Clock, and then tap on in the top bar Display. Finally in the menu tick possibility Show stopwatches.
