White Lightning cables for iPhones and iPads are iconic, but they don't always last as long as the devices they're supposed to charge. When such a cable goes to your eternal hunting ground, buying a new one from Apple can be quite expensive. However, there are also more affordable alternatives. One of them is called Epico.
Each iPhone or iPad always comes with one meter long Lightning cable. For some, it can last for several years, while others have to change it after only a few months. Indeed, Apple cables are known for their white color as well as for their frequent "failure".
But when your original Lightning cable really stops working, you'll find that Apple sells the same one-meter cable for a whopping 579 crowns. So many might want to look for a more affordable alternative, represented by the Epico cable.
You wouldn't even have to distinguish it from the original cable at first glance. The iconic white color remains, Lightning on one side and USB (in a slightly different design) on the other side. It is also important that Epico has an MFI certificate (Made for iPhone program) for its cable, which means that its functionality is guaranteed by Apple, for charging and product synchronization.
Epico Lightning cable for iPhone costs 399 crowns, which is more than 30 percent less against the original cable, which works exactly the same. In addition to the cable, the package from Epic also includes a 5W USB power adapter, which you can normally get from Apple for an additional 579 crowns. Although adapters are not nearly as defective, it can always be useful to have an extra one at home.
Therefore, the cable from Epica does not offer additional things like greater resistance, longer length or double-sided USB compared to the original Lightning cable from Apple, but the price-performance ratio, which is the same in the case of both products, wins Epico.
If it is "quality-wise" the same, I see no reason to buy it. Isn't it better to buy something that costs more but lasts long enough?
Certainly yes, if you know of a more expensive cable that I won't separate from the drive in 6 months, please send me a link. The Origo will last me a maximum of 3 months, just remember to pull directly on the connector and pull on the "wire" :-)

Primo from the text of the link: "Several months of testing will reveal whether BelayCords really last longer than original cables from Apple." I meant the practical experience of the same "pig user" as me :-)
I received two BelayCords yesterday, so I can't judge by long-term experience, only by how the cable looks. And I dare say that this will really be a cable for quite a long time.
We've had the BelayCords at home for about 2-3 months now and they're still as good as new, the connector cover (what you pull the cable out of) is aluminum - so it'll last. The braiding also feels good and the cable is generally a lot tougher. During that time, they haven't shown any signs of wear yet, so I definitely recommend them...and probably recommend them to more people, because coolkick.cz already made them more expensive once (I'm not entirely sure, but we bought them at a slightly lower price), and even recently sold them for 950 CZK , there were few of them in stock and the demand was high, so he probably raised the price temporarily, after all, that was the only thing that deterred us from buying two more pieces :)
As Aljosha writes, but generally anything with a knitted surface. At Apple (and I haven't experienced this anywhere else yet) the problem is in the material. Their rubber doesn't tear, but falls apart, and apparently it's thanks to the sweat and oil on our fingers.
Well, I don't know, in the summer I bought a used iPhone in the UK without a cable and charger, for a pound or so (40 CZK) I bought a cable on eBay and then it works and syncs just fine :D
I understand that probably few people want to hear this, but it's about how I will treat the cable - I've had a meter-long lightnint for two years (I roll it up in my bag, carry it with an ext battery and continue to use it regularly) and it's intact as well other lightning at home..
You're right, cables are often damaged by sloppy handling, pulling the connector by the cable, carrying a heavy charger by the cable, etc. But some Apple cables really do fall apart, like they've been corroded by acid. Unfortunately, we do not have an Apple Store in the Czech Republic, so complaints are quite complicated :(
For the most part, the original cable lasted me about 2 years, so quite a long time, but I treat them well. Mostly it happened that after those 2 years, the upper part of the cable started to peel off, so it was a sign that the matros was not as good as it might seem. True, there may be a little moisture in the bagel where I pulled it.
PS: Light is about a year old and then ok, we'll see if it lasts the 2 years ;-).
I'd rather buy a cable from Aliexpress where it costs a fraction of the price and works great.
Good luck with the sync and health for your battery.
Well, I'd rather pay extra for the development of another cable directly to Apple...
...And does anyone have experience with this trap? Does it look cool? It doesn't beep or buzz?
I do not understand. I pull lighting by the cable, not by the connector, I roll it up and drag it everywhere with me... And yet, since the launch of the iPhone 5, I haven't managed to destroy a single one. What do you do with it :-D?
I don't get it.
The price is good, but the answers to the basic things do not come.
Other suspicious things are primo at the store. Verified 100000 customers in a year of operation? Maybe…
The covers for the iPhone 6 and 6s are together, and we know that they are otherwise large (even if not by much).
There's no point in risking it :-).
